About
Why and how we built this site, where we draw its limits, and what happens to your data.
Purpose
To surface the interactions that deserve attention among your medications, and between drugs and foods, faithfully to the source data, in Turkish and in readable form. The goal is to inform — not to give prescriptions, doses, or personalized treatment advice.
Methodology
Data is refreshed by a weekly, automated pipeline. Sources used:
- TİTCK SKRS weekly snapshot of the licensed product list; the source for brands sold in Türkiye.
- FDA openFDA (public domain) — product labels and additional verification texts.
- FDA CYP tables — CYP450 inhibitor/inducer relationships.
- NIH (ODS and MedlinePlus) sources, curated food–drug rules.
The Turkish descriptions and the severity heuristics are products of this data pipeline. License terms and current versions of the sources are on the Sources page.
Limits
- no record ≠ no interaction. A drug pair not being listed does not mean it does not interact; it means no record exists in the source data.
- There is a freshness delay. Data is refreshed with weekly snapshots; days or weeks may pass between production and the version shown here. The version stamp at the bottom of the page shows the data currently served.
- No dosage advice is given. There is no advice on dose, duration, treatment, or prescription changes; those decisions belong solely to your physician and pharmacist.
- Severity ratings are rule-based and generated automatically; they are not absolute truth and require personal assessment.
Privacy
no data is ever stored on the server. The medication list you enter and your searches are kept only in your browser (localStorage); nothing is written to the server, you never need an account, and an email address is never collected for contact. Visits are measured anonymously with Google Analytics; when ad placements are active, they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies. There are no paid features.
Disclaimer
This site is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Do not change, start, or stop your medications without consulting your doctor or pharmacist. If you notice a serious side effect, contact your healthcare provider.
Open source
For feedback and contributions the source code is public: https://github.com/ekintkara/ilac. This site does not collect email addresses; communication happens through the repository.
